Halloween Quilt BOM

This is a block of the month quilt that I made using scrap Halloween fabrics. Halloween is my favorite holiday. My mom has a really cool Halloween quilt so it is fun to make my own. I am pretty proud of myself because the blocks pretty much turned out the size they were supposed to turn out, which shows solid progress. I did also make a lot of scraps with this, since the pattern had you sew half square triangles by cutting two squares to size and then sewing diagonally, instead of doing them two at a time or whatnot, which I think contributed to the finished product being the right size. I also made the mini size of this pattern in Christmas scraps.

Pattern: Quilting Life 2018 Pattern Block of the Month in the larger size.

Fabric: Scraps!

Quilting: I was going to free motion quilt day but I had a talk with myself about the pile of quilts I had waiting to be quilted and then I machine quilted it with a walking foot and I am pretty sure a serpentine stitch–I’m really branching out from that extended zig-zag.

Finished size is 50″x64″.
