I made this quilt for my boyfriend. Take that, sweater curse! This was my first time really working with triangles that were supposed to end up a certain size. There are literal holes in the quilt top that I just sort of zigzagged over. It was really fun to look at compared to some of my more recent work, and see how much I have improved. It was also nice to think about how even though this quilt isn’t perfectly constructed, it still fulfills its utilitarian purpose and is well-loved.
Pattern: Celtic Solstice by Bonnie K. Hunter
Fabric: Scraps! Scraps! Scraps! Backing is mostly fun Cotton + Steel prints, now Ruby Star Society
Quilting: I quilted this on my domestic machine and used a bunch of different stitches.
Finished size is 61″x73.5″
